Construction Project Manager Travel Required: Local Travel
Required Regularly; Out of TownTravel required up to 20% Salary
Range: $65,000-$85,000 About Spartan Spartan is a commercial

only one direction for Spartan - UP. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Overall
Project Success Project Level Reporting & Documentation SPOC with
Client and Field Project Level Issue Resolution Oversight of
Project Level Bid Process & SOV Completion / Submission to Client
Role and Responsibilities The Project Manager’s primary
responsibility is the overall success of projects assigned to them
including but not limited to schedule, finances, quality, client
satisfaction, etc Additionally the Project Manager shall work in
conjunction with the Project Superintendent to ensure successful
completion of the project, assist with any issues, delays, etc. •
Plan and oversee projects to ensure they are completed in a timely
fashion and within budget. • Plan and designate project resources,
prepare budgets, monitor progress and keep client PjM’s informed
the entire way. • Prepare reports for upper management and other
staff regarding project status, upcoming projects or potential new
clients. • Assist with training Assistant Project Managers and / or
other related staff. • Provide leadership in initial planning stage
by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers or other
involved parties • Develop detailed description of scope of work,
materials, etc. necessary to complete project. • Schedule and
coordinate projects in logical steps and budgets the time necessary
to meet each deadline. • Finalize preparation and submission of
proposals / SOV’s to Client PjM and regularly communicates with
client concerning budget progress and costs. • Ensures adherence to
budget, project plans, specifications, and all other construction
documents and notifies and makes adjustments when and where
necessary • Ensure safety standards and guidelines are followed on
jobsite. • Oversee conract negotiations, revisions and additions •
Prepare contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers
and subcontractors and send to appropriate party. • Collaborate
with Clients, Superintendents, Contractors and design professionals
to discuss and resolve problems. • Manages and leads action that
are necessary due to delays, bad weather or emergencies on project.
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with variety of
stakeholders. • Other duties that may be assigned. Qualifications
and Education Requirements Degree in project management, business
management or related field. Minimum of 4 years experience as
Project Manager or equivalent role in construction Solid
understanding of construction industry, job site safety
requirements, planning & scheduling, building trades and sequence
of work and relevant technology including software. Key
competencies are leadership, initiative, communication, teamwork,
managing for results and coaching / mentoring. MUST be able to read
and understand construction plans and specifications. Valid Drivers
License Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Excellent communication & leadership skills and abilities. Ability
to multi-task Excellent planning and time management skills
Preferred Skills Spartan Contracting Corporation is a leader when
it comes to implementing new technology. The position of Project
Superintendent must demonstrate an expert level ability and be
willing to teach and mentor coworkers on the following: 1. iPad &
iPhone, PlanGrid / AutoDesk Build and / or ProCore,
BuildingConnected, Salesforce, ComputerEast and other construction
accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite of Products, Adobe
products and others as the company may require. Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be
exposed to conditions that include weather such as heat and / or
humidity and cold, fumes or airborne particles, exposure to dust
and asphalt, and moving mechanical parts. There may be occasional
exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Conditions can also include
the risk of electrical shock and risk of vibration. The noise level
in the work environment can often be loud. This position is
regularly required to: Walk, climb stairs, site and stand Talk and
hear at normal levels. See with close vision, distance vision,
color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and have the
ability to adjust focus. Reach with hands and arms. Use hands and
fingers to operate tools and other business machines Lift and / or
move up to 50 lbs.
